The Fashion Museum, founded in 1999 by Jorge Yarur Bascuñán in the family residence, is a private museum that focuses on fashion from the 1950s and 1960s.
Its mission is to collect, preserve and show fashion and textiles as heritage objects. The extensive collection, which includes more than 7,000 pieces, jackets, clothing, accessories, textiles, decorative arts and sports from the 15th century to the present. https://museodelamoda.cl/es
The exhibitions in the museum are always temporary for reasons of conservation of the textiles. When there is a current exhibition, the Museum is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 and 18:00 and on weekends between 10:00 and 19:00.
When there is no temporary exhibition, the areas that are available to the public are the shop, the cafeteria and the EL GARAGE restaurant.
The library and the conservation, restoration, documentation and registration departments can be accessed by request via email.
