Horses

I have always loved horses for about 2 years now. There such amazing creatures with different chararistics. What really draws me to them is how different they are and why there loved and hated so much. And the deep history they contain all over the world. Below you can see the research ive done on my favorite breeds.

Horse back riding disciplines (Englsish and Western)

Western saddle

Most commonly used in : Western pleasure, Reining, Cutting and penning.

English saddle

Most commonly used in : Dressage, Hunter/jumper, Show jumping, Cross country, Eventing.

English

Eventing

Three disciplines combined wich consists of Dressage, Cross country, and Show jumping. This event can span for 1 day or 3.

Dressage

Is often ridden in a small arena while presenting ballet like moves while there are judges watching.

Showjumping

Is were the rider and the jumper follow a course of jumps arranged by roman numerals most commonly.

Cross Country

Requires both the rider and the horse to be in excellent physical shape and be trusting of one another. Both rider and horse have to complete a course perfectly in its pattern and in optimum time.

Hunter/Jumpers

Challenges the equestrian and horse to complete a course of eight or more jumps in a ring.
