Data Science

What ive learned so far from data science is that There is a lot more to data science than just organizing your data.You can also learn from it and add on to the data so that there is more data. Then other people can learn about whatever you put in the data set also.

Mean, Median, and Mode

Mean: The mean is found by adding all of the numbers in a data set together. Then divide them by however many numbers there are in the data set. and the answer to the division problem is the your mean.

Median: The median is the middle number in a data set. To find it you would put all of the numbers in a row and find the number in the middle.

Mode: The mode is the number that is the most occuring number in the data set.EX: 1,1,2,2,2,3,3,4,4,4,5,5,5,5,5,5,6,6,7,7,7,8,8,8,9,9,9,9,9 The Mean in this data set would be 5 because it occurs the most.

+-1sd: Standard deviation is a measure of how dispersed the data is in relation to the mean. There can be a low and high standard deviation. Low standard deviation means it is clustered around the mean, While high deviation means that the data is more spread out.

CODAP by far has been my favorite thing to do in math because theres is a lot of interesting things you can learn about people and animals. My favorite CODAP was the one with all of the animals because it was cool learning about fast animals run or walk the other cool thing was that you could see how high certain animals were and the food chain and weather or not they were carnivores or herbivores.

The other assignment was Big data where you got to travel to the future and explore new gadgets. It was very fun figuring out things like what kind of food the girl needs for low blood sugar and how the concell designed a game for them based on their personality and mindset. The really big twist was that on there way out they went through a room and it turns out that the robot was trying to control peoples minds and take over the world. Lets just say that I don't think that the kids made it out of that house.
