MENTORS
Davis Cuffe is the Editor-in-Chief of the Niner Times, overseeing all operations while studying communications and journalism at UNC Charlotte after transferring from Catawba College, where he was a scholarship athlete and sports editor. He has gained experience through various roles, including a summer internship with Queen City Nerve and participation in the Scripps Howard Emerging Journalists Program.
Ms.Carr is a loving 10th grade ELA Teacher, who teach CTEC students. She started working in the UNCC Early College program in August of 2022. She went to Appalachian State University for her undergraduate degree, and attended Middlebury College for my Masters, where she studied at various campuses such as the University of Southeast Alaska, St. John's University in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Lincoln and Magdalen College at Oxford University in England. She have been teaching high school English since 1999, and she taught primarily English II and English IV at all levels.
Mrs. Jacqueline Brown is the Career Development Coordinator for Charlotte Early Colleges. She helps students with college and career planning by participating in work-based learning opportunities, such as Internships, Job Shadowing, Career Events, Guest Speakers, Career and Interest Assessments, and industry networking.
Dr. Susan Nicolas is in her 26th year as an educator. She is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and graduated from Davie High School. She received an undergraduate degree in Spanish/ French Education from the University of Alabama.
