Hey I’m Ailen and I am a senior on SGA! This year I serve as your Student Body President. At school I am an English Second Language Ambassador, a Costume Designer for AK Theatre, and a part of multiple honor societies! I am also the 2024 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Student Advisor and the Student Body President for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Youth Council. Lastly, I love volunteering at the library and at my church!

Hello I’m Ally Benken and I’m in 12th grade (Senior). This year I am Student Body Vice-President! Formerly, AK’s student body publicist, this is my 3rd year in SGA. I will be attending Converse University in the Fall where I will play NCAA DII lacrosse. I lettered four years for AK lacrosse and I am a part of four national honor societies.

My name is Parker Hepworth, and I’m a senior currently serving as the Secretary of Education at my high school. In this role, I work to address student concerns and help create a positive environment for everyone. Outside of school, I coach at a gymnastics center where I used to train as a competitive gymnast. I’m also deeply involved in political organizations, where I advocate for change and work on community efforts to improve policies and empower others.

This year I am the President of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Youth Council, President of the Mecklenburg Teen Democrats and the Vice President of Membership for the North Carolina Teen Democtrats! Hello AK! I am Jack Larson; I am a Senior member in Student Government and I am also thankful to serve as your 2024-2025 SGA Treasurer. I am super involved in the theatre department here at school serving as a Stage Manager for countless productions current and past. Hello, I’m Garrett Brown, a senior at Ardrey Kell, and this is my first year in SGA. I’m part of a few of groups at AK, like Bright Knights and Kastle Krazies. Outside of school, I like spending time with my friends, watching sports, catching concerts, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

Hey everyone, I’m Genesis, a senior, and this is my first year in SGA! I have a love for all things nature and baking. In my spare time, I love to draw, listen to music, and occasionally play video games. In addition to being in Student Government, I am the Community Relations officer for AK Latinos!

Hi! My name is Chloe, and I’m currently a senior at Ardrey Kell as a member of SGA for the 2024-2025 school year. For my last year, I’m involved with Yearbook as a writing editor, along with being a treasurer for Black Student Union. In addition to this, I’m also a staff writer for AK Chronicle, and currently stand as the president of my own founded non-profit organization, Cultivating Harmony in Color, which focuses on uplifting young women of color within the Charlotte area. I’m excited to be a part of student government this year, and can’t wait to do so much more with this incredible group of people!

Hi! My name is Nyla, and I am a junior this year! This is my second year in SGA, and I can't wait to contine to be aprart of this amzamazing organiszation. I love all things medical and science, and in my free time I like to watch medical videos and do research. Some of the clubs I am in are ITS, AK K-pop, AK STEMsters, and AK R.O.L.A.M. In my free time I love listening to music, painting, and watching dramas. I can't wait for the year ahead!

Hey, I'm Anderson and I am a junior here at Ardrey Kell. This is my first year being on Ardrey Kell Student Government. I love doing photography and I am a part of the AKHS Athletics media team as one of their main sports photographers. I was also on the AK Football team my freshman and sophomore year; and am a current member of the AK Mens Lacrosse team. I also work at Chick-fil-A as a Team Leader!

My name is Aya Baimuratova, and I am currently a junior at Ardrey Kell High School. As an active member of the Student Government Association (SGA), I am involved in various initiatives to improve student life and make it more enjoyable. I speak Russian, Kazakh, English and have a medium-level understanding of Turkish and basic understanding of Spanish! One of my key passions is helping ESL students integrate into our school community by providing support with language learning and cultural adaptation. I also practiced taekwondo, which has helped me develop discipline, focus, and resilience—qualities I apply in my academic and leadership roles! I am a member of the Science National Honor Society and passionate about science, with plans to pursue a career in the field. I pride myself on being hardworking, empathetic, and driven to make a positive impact on those around me!
