Welcome to

Mrs. Sander's Site

Hello and welcome!

Thank you for taking time to visit my site. Teaching young learners is my passion and I feel so lucky to be at Gilbertsville again this year! I am a Lehigh University graduate with a masters degree in Special Education. I also earned my bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, as well as my English as a Second Language (ESL) certification from Bloomsburg University. I also taught at Centennial School of Lehigh University for two years in which I obtained extensive training in all areas of Special Education, including research methods and practice in Positive Behavior Support. This experience has molded my philosophy of reaching and teaching the whole child.

Outside the classroom, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. My husband Chris and I have a 1 year old son, Nolan, and he sure keeps us busy and laughing! We are also puppy parents to our goldendoodle, Giggs, who can be a bit of a trouble maker, but has proven to be the most loving big brother! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, family game nights, and bike rides. We also love the beach and traveling to new places.

I hope you will find the provided links and materials helpful. I look forward to learning and celebrating success with your child this year. Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me with questions you may have!

Best wishes for a great year!
