Hello and welcome to 6th grade ELA! I am excited to get to know you this year. This is my 23rd year teaching in the Boyertown School District and my 16th teaching ELA. I love reading and writing, and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.
A little bit about me...I am originally from Central New York and came to Philadelphia for college. I currently live in Gilbertsville with my husband, a graduate of Boyertown, and our two children, who are also Boyertown graduates and are now attending college. We have an eight-year-old chocolate lab, Ragnar, a five-year-old cat named Odin, and a two-year-old cat, Freija. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, cooking, board games, and puzzles, and I am an avid sports fan.
I am looking forward to a great year!
At the end of the school year, I always ask my students for advice for the next year's students. Here is some of their advice in Six Words!
Focus and it will be ok!
Really read your book, don't pretend!
Be Prepared. Be Determined. Be Kind.
110% every time you come in !
