Course Overview:

AP United States History is an in depth study and analysis of the entire range of American History (roughly 1491-present) and gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. AP students are expected to comprehend rigorous college level texts and possess excellent writing and analytical abilities. This course requires extensive independent work outside of class (including a summer assignment) in order to prepare students for class activities and discussions. AP students must be highly motivated and be willing to invest significant time to reading course materials and preparing for the spring AP exam.
