Types of Contests
1. Objective Tests: 50 question written question objective test over a topic taken in one hour. Taken online at BHS during the dates above.
2. Performance Events: Teams of 1-3 performing in front of a panel of judges on a topic on the day of contest.
3. Skills Tests: Online 50 written question objective test over a topic taken in one hour at BHS during the dates set above and a production test or project created at BHS by the deadline above.
4. Reports, Case Study Events and Future Business Leader: Team of 1-3 create a report, project or take an online test at BHS during the above. On the day of contest, present the report or project.
5. Straight to State: these events will be at State Leadership Conference.

Professional Dress Requirements
FBLA members and advisers should develop an awareness of the image one’s appearance projects. The purpose of the dress code is to uphold the professional image of the association and its members and to prepare students for the business world. Appropriate attire is required for all attendees—advisers, members, and guests—at all general sessions, competitive events, regional meetings, workshops, and other activities unless otherwise stated in the conference program. Conference name badges are part of this dress code and must be worn for all conference functions.
Professional attire acceptable for official FBLA activies include:
Option 1:
Business suit with collared dress shirt, and necktie* or
Sport coat, dress slacks, collared dress shirt, and necktie* or
Dress slacks, collared shirt, and necktie*
Banded collared shirt may be worn only if sport coat or business suit is worn
Dress shoes and socks
*Bowties may be worn in place of neckties
Option 2:
Business suit with blouse or
Business pantsuit with blouse or
Knee-length skirt or dress slacks with blouse or sweater or
Knee-length business dress
Capris or gauchos with coordinating jacket/suit, worn below the knee
Dress shoes
Inappropriate attire for both:
Denim of chambray fabric clothing of any kind, overalls, shorts, skorts, stretch or stirrup pants, exercise or biker shorts
Backless, see-through, tight-fitting, spaghetti straps, strapless, extremely short, or low-cut blouses/tops/dresses/skirts
T-shirts, Lycra, spandex midriff tops, tank tops, bathing suits
Sandals, athletic shoes, industrial work shoes, hiking boots, bare feet, or over-the-knee boots
Athletic wear, including sneakers
Hats or flannel fabric clothing
Bolo ties
Visible foundation garments
HeyDudes, Sperry's or other boat shoes
