MY PRE-SCIENCE RESEARCH JOURNEY
Over the summer, I researched a variety of different topics related to epidemiology and based my Mind Map, pictured to the left, around it. During my research, I came across an article about cystic fibrosis, and immediately fell in love with the topic. My summer slideshow also reflects the interest I found in cystic fibrosis.
MY FIRST YEAR AS A SCIENCE RESEARCH STUDENT
Continuing with cystic fibrosis, my mentor, Dr. Shannon Farley, and I developed a study which would analyze The Association of Different Airway Clearance Techniques with Advanced Lung Disease in Cystic Fibrosis Patients. While ALD (Advanced Lung Disease) was not my original focus, I ended up with a successful poster (as seen on the right) and was able to present it.
