Science Research is a program organized by the University of Albany, New York for high schoolers in several states to participate in their own independent research ventures, with the topic being completely of their choosing. Each student may then contact several potential mentors, eventually choosing one to work with for either a year or their entire high school research career. They then have the opportunity to participate in multiple science competitions and win awards. At Fox Lane, we emphasize students' communication, enthusiasm, perseverance, and resourcefulness as researchers. These are our traits of a scientist (TOAS).
