First Year (2024-2025)

During my first year of Science Research, I devoted my time to finding a mentor and building my background knowledge on effects of climate change on its environment, natural disasters, and effects of drought. Over the summer, I created a mind map based on research of these topics. After connecting with my mentor, Dr. Adam Kalkstein, my research followed with the effects of drought on the environment and put together a proposed study that was presented at the Somers science fair and Fox Lane Science Research Symposium.
