I have been investigating if social relationships and interactions can protect cognition from negative or detrimental effects of stress.  These social relationships include marriage and dog ownership.  I hope to research and determine preventative strategies for cognitive decline, specifically for dementia patients, in addition to ways to effectively reduce stress.
