More than just meetings
KaTA aims to be more than just discussions in classrooms, it actively works to activities that get its members on the ground and experience the world we live in. From Field Trips to Youth Congresses KaTA organizes a variety of activities in order to keep their members grounded and familiar with the society and world that they live in. KaTA also organizes many other activities to make the experience of the organization more fun, from historical re-enactments to playing Politricks KaTA is not lacking activities that are meant to bond its members. KaTA desires to branch out and do more than classroom discussions, and it has certainly taken steps to bring its members outside the classroom, outside the hill, and into our world.
KaTA constantly searches for engaging activities to let our members participate in. From our Ateneo fair activites to halloween specials, there is some place for every KaTA member to have fun.
One of the most awaited for events in KaTA is the Serye Kabataan. A major youth congress which seeks to invited students from many schools in order to discuss our ever-changing Filipino society, the issues we face today, and the role that we young play in it. It is an integral part of KaTA and is a manifestation of KaTA's organizational aspirations to raise the consciousness and organize the youth to discuss the world we live in today.
KaTA is not limited to the confines of the Ateneo High School. KaTA has a history of organizing field trips that strive to expose KaTA's members to the realities of our society and our history. These field trips can go to a variety of places of cover a variety of social topics, whether it be food history with KaTA's field trip to Binondo, or WW2 history and modern Filipino art with KaTA's most recent field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Manila and the American cemetery in BGC.
KaTA collaborates with the Art Guild for this project as they share stories of haunted places in the Philippines!
This was KaTA's project for Halloween and it was displayed at the 2nd floor SHS building
