HILAAN LUBID

The object of the traditional Filipino game "Hilaang Lubid" is to pull your opponent across a predetermined line with a rope or a piece of braided fabric (lubid). Usually, there are two teams playing this game. Each team holds onto one end of the lubid and tries to pull the other team over a predetermined line. In order to defeat their rivals and win, players in "Hilaang Lubid" must use strength, strategy, and teamwork. A favorite past time in Filipino culture, it's a well-liked and competitive game that encourages physical activity, coordination, and friendly competition.
