7th grade

Miles Lai

  • I like to do magic tricks and I have 2 black belts.

  • I joined ASB because I thought it would be a good way to get to know other people. Also, ASB is a good way for me to not only practice leadership skills, but to learn how to be a part of a team.


Katelyn Suen

  • I have 2 dogs, one Saint Bernard and one German Shepherd. My favorite colors are yellow and blue.

  • To me, ASB is about students coming together to brainstorm ideas on how to make school a more fun and enjoyable place. I joined ASB because I wanted to share my ideas on how to make school fun for everyone!


Kyrah Chien

  • I am the only person in my family that has two dimples, and my favorite book series is the Keeper of the Lost Cities.

  • I joined ASB because I thought it would be a fun experience. I was always curious about how all the school events were organized.


Evelyn Kim

  • I enjoy skiing, running, and playing soccer. I have a younger brother who is currently in 5th grade.

  • I joined ASB because it is an organization that helps create a better school environment for both teachers and students. I wanted to get more involved with my school and make the upcoming year as great as possible. By being part of this organization, not only am I able to help the school, I am also developing great leadership and creativity skills as well as meeting new people.


Meilan Busteed Chao

  • I have thumbs that look like toes, and I enjoy eating fruit.

  • To me, ASB means Apples, Strawberries, and Bananas. This ASB Team is so sweet!

  • I love art in any shape or form. I also dislike skirts or dresses that end above my knee.

  • I joined ASB to make a difference in the school and to become more involved in the school's activities.

  • I joined ASB because I wanted to try something new that I have never really experienced before. I also really liked all of the activities and spirit days that the ASB would host when I was in 6th grade, so I thought it would be cool if I could be a part of that, and do the same.

  • I have a cat called Oreo, and my cat Oreo likes shrimp.

  • I joined ASB because I really liked the idea of coming up with events and ideas and presenting them to the school. Another reason was I saw the creative things they came up with last year and wanted to be a part of it.

  • I joined ASB because I used to always see them around campus helping other people, hosting events, and making announcements. They always looked really cheerful and positive and I could see that they were affecting other students too in a positive way. Being in ASB means that I can become those people who have the ability to influence others for good.

Emma Lee

  • One fun fact about me is I have the same birthday as Donald Trump. My second fun fact is I have a great memory when it comes to remembering people's birthday.

  • What ASB means to me is to be leaders and role models of the school, to bring school spirit. I wanted to join ASB to show this example.


Matthew Arauz

  • I have two cats, and I play water polo.

  • I joined ASB because I wanted to be a part of a group that could influence decisions made by the staff to better help the students of South Pointe.

  • Two fun facts about me are that I have played the piano since I was 4 and I like the smell of something burning.

  • ASB is something we are a part of to help students feel connected to their school and each other through involvement. I joined ASB because I like to help people.

  • ASB is an opportunity to express our abilities and skill to the fullest. ASB is a great way to make new friends, interact with the school, and create a better environment for students. I joined ASB because I thought of it as a chance to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. I was also in ASB last year and it was really fun and interactive. I also joined because I love to help the school and teachers out.

  • To me, ASB means a group of people who you can lean on and work with. I joined ASB because I wanted to be help more around my school and special events.

Valerie Gondokusumo

  • I enjoy sketching illustrations and creating art in my free time. I also like to research anything that's ornithology or computer related.

  • I joined ASB because I wanted a new challenge. I wanted to be a part of something that would allow me to learn and grow as a person as well as how to apply these principles in the future.

  • To me, ASB stands for Associated Student Body, where people help students feel connected to the school and each other through involvement in ASB organized activities. ASB members are honest, trustworthy, responsible, reliable, willing to work hard, humble, respect both adults and fellow students, and have school pride. I joined ASB because I wanted to take initiative, especially during this difficult hiatus, to bring a smile to someone's face and to continue our school spirit. I understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, but we can get through this together!
