Back in 2019 I wanted a DLSR camera because I thought they were "cool" little did I know it was the start of a passion.
I had no idea what I was doing and then I took my first photo and the lightbulb went off. I suddenly was taking a photo everyday and gathering up any information that was thrown at me. My school did a photography crash course and I immediately signed up. I went through the class and got some knowledge from a professional photographer. I decided to do the hardest thing and start with manual mode... that was super scary. I started to get the hang of it and I took every chance I could to take a photo or something. Either it was a water bottle or the moon, I think I have a thousand lunar photos at least.
After I kind of got the hang of it I wanted to show people them and see what they thought. That was where everything clicked for me... I wanted to make this a career at some point. Each time I take a photo I want for them to be unique and special and not the same thing everyone takes photos of. I want to get the viewers mind to look at it for a second and see so many different things than just a flower or a building. I want to stretch what it means to be a photographer and make it about building more connections between people, cultures, the brain/heart/soul, and to give at least one person a sense of hope.
