Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a zoo in Fresno. It has 190 species of animals. The zoo people were collecting and forming the zoo around 1908. Not much happened until it opened and other than some new exhibits, it is almost the same as any zoo.

Not much happened or almost nothing was recorded of Fresno Chaffee Zoo from the period 1908 to 1958. Historians say that they were mostly just getting prepared for the opening of the zoo. Sometime in the early 60's, the zoo opened. It was unfenced and cost no admission fee but that changed in 1963, when they put an admission fee. Like I mentioned earlier, other than a few special events year-round and some new exhibits, it has been the same since.

Adult tickets are only $7 and children ages 2-11 are $3.50 (under 2 are free)
