Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (ABDSP) is a California state park located within the Colorado Desert of southern California, United States. First discovered by Juan Bautista de Anza, this 915.52 square miles is home to the endangered bighorn desert sheep and you can tell because ABDSP's last name-"Borrego"-means 'bighorn'. This sheep is only found in some parts of the desert region. This sheep is native to the deserts of the United States' intermountain west and southwestern regions, as well as northwestern Mexico.
