Meet the Officers

Our 2022-2023 Officers

Get to know the officers of our Drama Club for the 2022-2023 school year. This group of officers are all amazing and we are very excited for what they'll bring to Drama Club this year!!!

President

Hey! I’m Aliya Barbancourt (uh-lee-uh; he/they/she) I am President of the Thespian Troupe 2609. As president I aid in the delegation of responsibility among club members, organize fundraisers, and present ideas and solutions to the club (when needed). I am a junior and will be participating in my 3rd year of shows at Atlantic Community High School. Theatre has been a passion of mine for a really long time. Overall, I’ve acted in four shows (three of them at ATL), participated in three showcases, and taken Intro to Drama & AICE Drama classes. I also enjoy crocheting and creative writing. Alongside the other 2022-2023 officers, we will help our troupe thrive!

Co Vice President

I’m Jessica Guerrier, (any pronouns, but don’t be scared to ask me in the moment!) I’m a co-Vice President of ITS (Woo! Troupe 2609!). I, along with my other co-vice, ensure that the organization is running smoothly. I assist the President and help with fundraising, promoting, and the overall activities within the club! This will be my last year with the International Thespian Society and I’ll make sure to do my best!

Co Vice President

Hi, I’m Erin McChesney (they/them) and I am one of the Co Vice Presidents of the International Thespian Society of Troupe 2609. As one of the Vice Presidents, I help run the remind systems for all things theatre related and help the President. I have been a part of this program since I was a freshman and I am now a Junior for the years 2022-2023. In the years of being here and a part of this society, I have worked 2 times backstage as a Crewhead and once on stage as an actor for the character Bo Blaster in the show Space Princess Wars. As Co Vice President, I strive to continue to keep this program a safe space for everyone and a learning experience for the future. I will always be here for everyone if they have any questions or need anything. I’m so excited to work with everyone in the future!

Secretary

Hi my name is Slanda Philistin, (they/she) and I am the Secretary of the International Thespian Society Troupe 2609. As secretary it is my job to assist in note taking, keeping specific information organized in the club, and taking attendance. I am very approachable, sensible, and an overall open person, feel free to contact my Instagram @slanduhh if you ever want to talk about anything I’m always on my phone. Can’t wait for what the future holds!!!

Treasurer

Hi, I'm Noah (she/her), the treasurer for drama club for the 2022-2023 school year!! As treasurer, I help manage fundraisers, and most things pertaining to money. But aside from that, I love the our drama program so, very much and I'm so excited to be an official officer. I'm a big fan of reading and math, and I really hope to create a welcome space for anyone interested in our club!!

Historian

Hi, I’m Liliana Martinez (Lee-lyah-nah; she/her) and I’m your co-historian. I’m a junior for the 2022-2023 school year. I take pictures/videos of the club and basically document what goes on during club meetings. I also manage the social media accounts, where I post club updates and photos/videos. I also manage this website and make sure its running efficiently and is updated as needed. I really enjoy musicals, Marvel, and Star Wars; in other words, I’m a huge nerd. I've been with this club since the beginning of my sophomore year and I am very excited for the future of this club!!

Senior Representative

Hi I’m Adelaida Patino, aka Ade (she/they) and I am the 2022-2023 Senior Class Rep. I’m here to help make decisions, be a fellow guide, be a voice to my grade level, and more. I’ve been a member of drama since 2019 and we’ve come such a long way! Over my time being in drama I’ve participated in the show Geek and competed at ITS. Lastly I love this club and just know I’m a safe space for anyone. <3

Co-Junior Representative

Hi! My name is Briana Wright (better known as Rey) and I am the co-11th grade representative of Troupe 2609. Though I didn't participate my freshman year, I completely dedicated myself to drama my sophomore year and am planning on doing the exact same thing this year. My job is to address problems amongst the juniors and give them a voice in the club. Let's make this a great year!!

Co-Junior Representative

Kayla Emanuel is a junior and helps recruit others to join Troupe 2609 . I've been with this club in the middle of my sophomore year and it’s very impactful and I hope I can get others to join :) .

Sophomore Representative

Hey, I'm Sarah Python (she/her) and I'm your 10th grade rep. My job as your 2022-2023 10th grade representative is to communicate with the sophomores and represent their voice in club decisions as well as the 9th graders as they will not have a representative right away. I will bring in more recruits and help to continue the safe community we create here at Atlantic.
