I chose this artifact because it was cool to highlight an event on the spot. With this coverage, I was able to first hand record the awards this association has won, and get interviews with the presidents of our schools SGA. In addition, our school hosted a workshop at the event, which I was able to cover and encapsulate into the article. Overall, it was unique to see what this association does off campus and experience it first hand. (February 24, 2026)

I chose this artifact because it was cool to highlight some of the work that our publication does. Typically, we focus on covering other majors and subjects, however, this article brought focus to the publication that makes all that coverage happen. In addition, it was cool to walk students through the event has it happened over the course of multiple days. It was also unique to hear attendees perspectives on this event, and capture their work through photos and interviews. (April 11, 2026)

I chose this artifact because it was special to be covering a president. Along with all of the security put in place, we were able to take our own photos, and get an audio recording of the speech from the president. In addition, we got an interview from the CEO of the Forum Club, and were able to ask unique questions to enhance our story. Overall, it was cool to cover an improtant figure, and localize it to our school. (May 1, 2026)

I chose this artifact because it was my first time writing about a sporting event. This coverage not only had various interviews, but was a good representation of the volleyball senior night. In addition, it was timely and went up within 24 hours of the event. It highlighted the senior volleyball players, and encompassed the elements that made the game unique (such as the cheer team and custom posters.) (April 16, 2026)

I chose this artifact because it is an example of my first writing piece. Through this article, I feel I was able to learn and experience what it is like to be a coverage staffer and step into my staffers shoes. I was not only to gain more experience into journalism, but was able to voice my own opinion through this article. I am also proud of the way I was able to design the website to coordinate the color themes. (Sept. 6th, 2025)
