Planning

MAR 7

My film intro takes two teenage boys who are best friends. One of the friends tragically passes away and the other one must deal with the guilt and grieving of his friend, Max Moore. When planning this, we carefully considered how we want the characters to be represented; especially since there are only two main characters being shown in the intro. The teenager age group is shown through scenes of shopping and being out on the town. Us being teenagers, we picked these activities because we know they are things that we would enjoy doing on a normal weekend. We chose the two boys to act, primarily because we didn’t have anyone else to work with. There are no huge representations of masculinity considering the two boys are only sixteen and seventeen years old. Our main audience for this film is targeted toward teenagers and young adults since it demonstrates the close-knit friendships of high-schoolers as well as deals with difficult topics such as loss and grief. The montage of the boys out on the town and bonding represents their “bro-mance” and supports the intensity of the pain the friend will be dealing with when he loses his best friend.
