The Innovators has a really important role outside of building and coding the robot. Their main job is to tell the story of the team—what did the team build? learn? contribute to the community? They ensure that the team’s hard work is recognized, remembered, and shared—both with judges and with the wider community.

In FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics, the programmer plays one of the most important roles on the team because they make the robot come alive. They are the bridge between the robot’s hardware and its performance in the game. Without them, the robot is just metal and wires—it wouldn’t move, sense, or score points.

My goal in this class is to explore the fun part of working with robots and learning how to code a robot is something that i have always wanted to do since when I was a kid and now I get to take a class of what i like. Adiebo_Interview.mp4My name is Adwok Adiebo, a grade 12 student. I am currently a builder, and my goals for this class would be to gain an understanding of how robots work. I completed Grade 11 Computer Engineering last semester, and it was mainly about circuits and electrical components. I also completed Computer Science grade 11, which was based on Python and C++. Fun Fact: The term “computer” used to refer to people.
