Check out these cooking YouTube channels!

Is Corona Virus holding you back from eating at or getting takeout from your favorite restaurants? Do you have a newfound interest in cooking? Are you simply addicted to watching cooking videos on YouTube? Don’t worry, whatever question you answered “yes” to, I got your back!

First up is Chef Jack Ovens. With one year’s worth of videos, Chef Jack Ovens has about 121 thousand subscribers and 151 uploads. Personally, his filming style is one of my favorites out of all the cooking channels. By getting straight into the recipe and maintaining a steady pace, his videos are easy to follow with clear instructions. In addition, the camera is always pointed at his cooking space so it’s hard to miss any steps! Another huge plus to his channel is that the ingredients will always be found in the description box (no external links to switch back and forth from *sighs in relief*). His famous recipes include Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce, Creamy Mustard Chicken, and Chicken Fajitas. I personally recommend trying out the mushroom sauce, as it is a versatile sauce that can be topped on juicy steaks, used for dipping plain bread, mixed with pasta, or anything else that you can think of!

Next on the list is Dimitra’s Dishes. With six years’ worth of uploads, Dimitra has 123 thousand subscribers and 626 videos. Her dishes are mostly Mediterranean with an emphasis on Greek cuisine. Her channel is what introduced me to and made me love Greek food! Like Chef Jack Ovens, the ingredients can be found in the description box. One downside is that her videos are slow for merely viewing. However, they are at a perfect pace to cook along to. Recipes from her include Bourani (vegan rice pilaf with red peppers), Spanakopita (Greek spinach pie), and One-Pot Greek Chicken and Rice. I personally recommend the chicken and rice as its aroma fills your house and makes you feel like you’re in a restaurant!

And last up is Marion’s Kitchen. With three years worth of videos, Marion is at one million subscribers and 523 uploads. Her bright smile and bubbly personality will not only convince you to try out her recipes but to love her as a YouTuber! The camera quality of her videos is so sharp that it feels like you’re watching a film. In addition to slow-mos, zoom-ins, and closeups, her mouthwatering descriptions of food will make your stomach grumble! One downside (and if you haven’t noticed already my biggest pet peeve) is that the ingredients cannot be found in the description box. By clicking on an external link, it will redirect you to her website where a detailed step-by-step recipe with ingredients can be found (which is inconvenient for visual learners). Marion dedicates her YouTube channel to recipes from all over Asia. Famous recipes include Vietnamese Beef Pho, Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Buns, and Chicken Adobo. Recipe-wise, Marion’s Kitchen is my go-to channel!

I hope you consider checking some of these people out! Your taste buds (or sense of sight if you’re merely watching) will thank you.
