Should Teens Have Part-time Jobs?
Should teens have jobs? Teens are figuring out life, how to make friends, and other many important things. Teens also might start wanting to work or have jobs, but are they responsible for a part-time job? Teens might start wanting their own money, so that they can buy their own things. Well, do you really think teens can be responsible for a part time job? Well, I think teens shouldn’t have part-time jobs. Many teens are figuring out life, working on school work, and trying to make friends. Teens shouldn’t be doing part-time jobs, instead they should be working on school work.
My personal opinion is that teens shouldn’t have jobs or any kind of part time jobs. Teens should be focusing on their school work, and their life before becoming an adult. In the article ¨Pros and Cons of Teens having Part-time jobs¨ it says that ¨Research shows that teens who work after school often go to classes late, sleep during class and fail to complete their homework.¨ Teens are always stressed and depressed sometimes. Many teens just want to end their life because of bullying and other things. Imagine how teens having a part-time job might affect their depression or stress.
Even a part-time job is hard to handle as a teen. Most teens are not very mature, and they make bad decisions. Many teens do drugs because of stress. A part-time job can cause a lot of stress which can lead to drinking alcohol, doing drugs, and many more harmful things to the human body. Teens also can be irresponsible about the part time job, and they can treat customers badly. If teens smoke they may cause a fire.Teens can trash the place, or not even do the job correctly. Teens can steal from the store, or can be rude to a customer. In the article ¨Pros and Cons of Teens having part-time jobs it says¨, ¨ The jobs that teens have are usually open in the nighttime which is the time that teens are usually free. The jobs can affect their grades, sleep, activities, and many more things.
Teens should also be focusing on their school work. Many teens are starting to drop out of school because of their grades, or that school is getting too hard for them to handle. Because if you don’t get a good education, you can’t really get a good job. Education is very important for your future, and your part-time job can affect it. You might not be able to turn in your work on time, study for a test, do homework, or finish a project. Teens should be getting decent grades for them to have a successful future.
Overall I think teens should not have part-time jobs because it can affect their grades, stress, and many more things. They might be irresponsible with the job, and can not take it personally. Plus teens should enjoy their childhood before becoming an adult.
Then we wrote a fiction story with our monster
Once upon a time there was a friendly monster that went by Unicylodobrachiopentdentalbicornoctopediuncicaudbiaurcentlintiousduoalaeoid. Instead of having that long name the friendly monster went by Fred.
Fred was pink and had hot pink spots all around him. Fred was amazing at everything, he could cook, he was amazing at art, and loved to make friends. One day Fred went out on a walk and he saw something he had never seen before. Fred went up to the mysterious creature, and asked who and what they were. The creature said ¨ My name is John Pork and I am a pig!¨ ¨Nice to meet you John Pork, my name is Fred¨ Fred said. Fred and John Pork became best buddies and started living together. Until one day they were cooking, and went outside for 5 minutes to fetch some water. When they came back the house was on fire! The fire kept spreading faster, faster, and faster! ¨ ¨Ah!¨ screamed John Pork. ¨ Run!¨ yelled Fred! They both ran until they couldn’t see their home. ¨ We are homeless now!¨, sobbed John Pork. Fred said, ¨ It will be ok, but for now we must head on before the monster in the forest comes out¨. John Pork replied ¨ What monster? What is its name? Will we be safe?¨ Fred said. ¨ You need to calm down John Pork. Also the monster's name is Tung Sahur.¨ He looks like a tree. Fred and John started walking to a nearby cottage. Once they got to the cottage, the cottage looked very childish. Fred wanted to go to the cottage, but John Pork disagreed. Fred took notice in John Pork’s opinion, and said, ¨ How about we knock on the door and ask if we could stay there for the night? ¨. John Pork nodded and walked to the cottage. They went to the cottage and knocked on the door. When they knocked on the door a girl with a tea cup head answered. ¨ Why is your head a tea cup?¨ said Fred. ¨ What nonsense do you have to approach someone you don’t even know like that?¨ said the girl. “ We are very sorry miss, he can be very forgetful of his manners sometimes," said John Pork. “ It is fine, just don’t do it again.”, replied the lady. “ We wanted to know if would could just stay at your house for the night?,” asked John Pork. “ Sure, by the way my name is Tina,” said Tina. “ Our names out Fred and John Pork,” said Fred and John. “ You guys can go explore around the house,” sad Tina. While Fred and John Pork were exploring around they tripped on something and were stumbling on the stairs. They came back upstairs laughing and told Tina, and Tina apologized for something that was in the hallway. They lived happily ever after and were safe from the monster
Lastly we have our hatchet miny essay
In the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, the protagonist Brian struggles to survive the Canadian wilderness. He had to recover from many injuries like me.Surviving the plane crash, a moose, and a tornado. He overcame a lot of challenges that were very difficult for him.
Brian has divorced parents which is hard for him.He keeps thinking about the secret which is his mom cheating on his dad.Even though my parents aren’t divorced I would also feel the stress that Brian is in. Brain is overwhelmed with everything going on in his life right now. Brian says ¨Help! Somebody help me! I am in this plane and I don't know how!¨But Brain doesn't know for a few days yet but he has learned how to adapt and survive.Everybody goes through that in life, we don't know yet but eventually we will. Brian gets hurt every few days or weeks, but that doesn’t stop him from giving up.Brian has survived a moose, porcupine, tornado, and a plane crash. What can ever stop Brian from ever giving up.Injuries are just obstacles in Brian's journey to surviving for 54 days.If I were Brian I would just not know what to do.I couldn’t imagine surviving a tornado and a moose.
Some injuries I have had is when I broke my elbow when I was little.I was playing at a trampoline park called Airtopia. At some part of the place is where you had to jump over something. I jumped over it but I landed wrong.I landed on my elbow badly. I had to go to the hospital unlike Brain which is in the middle of a forest with no hospital and had to recover all by himself. It hurt to get my elbow fixed because I had to put my elbow almost straight so they can do an X-Ray.It hurt badly, but I could not imagine getting pushed by the moose and injuring my ribs badly like Brian.I also had a foot injury were at the point I couldn't walk on my right foot.I had to take disgusting medicine, but it helped me heal.I got better and soon I could walk without pain.
In conclusion, in Paulsen's book Brian has had many struggles and injuries but he got over them just like me.He became stronger, tougher, and more positive. He learned how to survive in the wilderness and adapt to nature. We all go through struggles and challenges, you might be thinking ¨I don't know,I don't know!¨Well think about this, you always will not know yet, but you will know eventually and overcome your challenges, struggles,o r whatever you're going through in life.
