These are my cubes I made with sketch up for schools First we started with downloading this file Mr Hicks gave us this file Cubist QuickStart File
Then we downloaded our file and renamed it then we moved it to our 3d modeling file in file explorer then we open the file and start we first had to make the square with the measure Mr Hicks gave us . And then we stacked the cubes up .
I made this model in sketchup and we this is called the simple house also I really enjoyed this project it was very fun but you can check out how to do it by watching on this link Watch on YouTube for the basics .
I made these in skech up by taking an image and exporting it .
I made this by uploading the SketchUp file into blender and by taking a picture in blender this is a side angle and you can see the details I wanted on the house I really like the program blender. and I hope you do too .
If you can see in this image that i took in blender there is a doggy door and a bird feeder . If you see in other houses that other people made they have way more detail than me . You also notice in the image the doorknob and the window covers that I made it really took along time but I do not regret it at all .
These are the shortcuts they are in the left side of your sketchup file these tools help us what we make in 3d modeling . These are very handy and helpful toolbar . I could not survive with these tools ,
These are the measurements that we used to make the house and how we had to push and pull it off the ground .
First rectangle: 12',30' (12 feet by 30 feet)
Second one: 20',10' (20 feet by 10 feet)
Push/Pull: 10' (pull up 10 feet from the ground
Offset: 6" (Looking up at the bottom of the house)
I made this house in blender with keyframes . If you see in the video it rotates two times . We made this house by exporting and downloading our sketch up file we also had to make two files an out folder and a DAE to store our 3d things after that step we had to figure out how to spin it . I first started with being at 90 frames and added keyframes then I had to go too 300 frames and spin it the opposite of the first keyframe This video is suppose to be 10 seconds long .
I made this in SketchUp and also we had more creativity and freedom of doing what we wanted I did something really basic because I could not make up my mind and I do regret but I still like it very much .
I made this in SketchUp this is another angle of my model you can't really see all the colors that why I wanted another view of sculpture to see all the colors and so they would really stand out .
I made this sculpture in sketchup first and exported it and put it in blender also if you see in the video the into like the first 2 or 3 seconds there is nothing on the screen in the video you can kinda see the glow on my sculpture I did not want that much glow on my sculpture . Its kinda the same thing with your simple house but you have more freedom to customize your video if you click on it you can see the top view I wanted to get too see all the colors and spin them to make a cool video I really enjoyed working with blender and SketchUp it was hard at the start but you will get the hang of it .
I made a bunch of errors this Unit but I learned from all of them for example instead of giving a 10 second video I gave a 3 second video in sketchup I made some errors by the measurements.
This is my video before I noticed that it was wrong it was really bad but it is always good too check your mistakes and if you see it is three seconds long and I'm glad I noticed it . (Aaliyah did not correct the mistake after I told her and Mr Hicks had to call her out )
This is my 10 second house video after I noticed my mistake it was really hard to do for me but it was worth the struggle because of how it turned out and it was .
