Strokes

What is a stroke? The term "Stroke" means some special in Illustrator - it is the actual line or curves between anchor points. The thickness of the stroke is known as its "Weight" and is generally measured in "Points". A straight line has two anchors, whereas a curved path can have several anchors that define the shapes of the curves.

The difference between Vector and Bitmap images

When you zoom in, Vector images' edges would stay sharp, and on bitmap images, it will become pixelated and blurry

The importance of naming layers is that lets say you have a TON of layers in your project, and you forget which one it is, you're going to be SCRAMBLING going through "Layer 1" to "Layer 100" and still can't find it, so it's important to name layers so you don't forget which layer is which!

What is a fill? Fill is the color inside the path defined by its anchor points. Careful control over gradient fills is one of the skills you have to practice that propels your artwork into the "WOW!" zone. Without them, designs have a flat appearance that isn't nearly as appealing, especially when animating your art.
