The first thing we did was make cubes of 5x5 10x10 15x15 20x20 you can make the size exact by holding the square while you make it, and then type in the size you want same thing when pulling up. We oringanally just made them lined up then we stacked them.
This is casey on top of stacked blocks in Sketchup.

For our house model we build our houses I don't have any images of my in progress model 🙃but I do have my uncoloered house! 🏡
Official Measurements to be entered at the different stages of construction:
First rectangle: 12',30' (12 feet by 30 feet)
Second one: 20',10' (20 feet by 10 feet)
(Reverse the numbers if the direction won't cooperate)
Push/Pull: 10' (pull up 10 feet from the ground
Offset: 6" (Looking up at the bottom of the house)
This is my starter house we used a lot of different tools including: Rectangle tool, Push/Pull, and Tape Measure. Then we made our windows by using components as you can see I have a lot of windows of the same type I can make it a component (SO much easier for painting TRUST!).
We then colored it but don't use really dark colores because you won't be able to see the lines :(
So... I WENT OPPOSITE I used really bright colors! 😃
