Is It Just an Extra Expense?
Imagen you go to school and you're wearing the same thing as everybody else. It makes you feel a little weird right? Well That's unfortunately the case for most elementary, middle and high schools around the country.
This is why I think that uniforms in school should not be allowed in schools. Students should be able to dress really and express themselves in the way they speak, act and most importantly in the way they dress but schools are stopping students from expressing themselves by telling them to wear certain pants and shirts. Some schools even make their female students wear skirts and make their male students wear ironed pants, a collared shirt and a tie. Schools don't think about students who want to express themselves like maybe a boy wants to wear a skirt and maybe a girl isn't comfortable in a skirt and wants to wear jeans.
School uniforms are also just an extra expense and people like to argue that kids can wear their uniforms outside of school. Trust me we don't wanna wear any clothes that have anything to do with where we go to school. Wearing school uniforms outside of school could potentially put other kids in danger because if you post something on social media wearing your school uniform and someone who wants to hurt you sees it and recognizes it they could come to your school just based on you wearing your school uniform outside of school. Also the school uniforms are not fashionable at all. Kids don't wanna wear them anywhere else except school. Which makes them an extra expense if kids are not going to wear school uniforms outside of school.
It is also a quantity problem because when you buy the school uniform you need 5 school uniforms which makes it 5 times more expensive than it already is. On average the average collared shirt cost 30 dollars and a good quality pair of jeans cost about 40 dollars which ONE Uniform, adds up to 90$ and even if you find a decent pair of jeans for 20 dollars and you find a collared shirt for 15 dollars you are still paying 35 dollars for ONE uniform but both add up quickly if your paying 90 dollars for one uniform and you want to buy 5 for your kid your paying 450$ and if your paying 35 dollars per uniform your paying 175$ witch is still a lot. But you could also only buy 1 but then you would have to do laundry every day so you don't wear dirty clothes and then you stink at school and what if school want you to wear seretent shoes then it would be even more expensive because it would add at least 25 dollars on to already a ridiculous fee of school uniform shirt and pants
Also you have to pay a lot of money if you can even find the clothes you're looking for because a lot of people that live in that area go to the same school as you and have to follow a dress code to so they have to buy those clothes to so you might even have to pay extra because you have to order them online in bulk because all the other kids parents bought all of the collared shirts and the jeans and the cache pants because schools usually have about 550 kids that go to the school and all the other 549 kids need almost the exact same thing that you need to wear causing a mass expense to all the parents and some schools provide school uniforms for kids in need but not nearly enough schools provide them and the schools that do don’t provide enough of these uniforms are provided by schools for the student
Kids are also our future and present so they will one day be our lawyers, doctors, and even the future president they will be a part of the senate. That takes a lot of responsibility so i think we should start giving them freedoms and responsibilities so lets start with letting them dress themselves.
