My Mandala
(I haven't made my new backrounds yet)
We had an assignment to make a mandala using certain colors with certain meanings.Â
"Mandalas are used in Buddhist and Asian cultures to represent unity and harmony with our universe. The different shapes and colors represent different connections and gratefulness to our Earth. Mandalas are often used in art and in henna and permanent tattoos as a way of giving thanks to the universe. The patience and creativity required to hand-draw and or hand-paint mandalas is said to be good for the soul!" - Assignment instructions.
When I was making my mandala, I had at first started with very vibrant and bright colors, but the color grid we were given, didn't have those colors listed, so instead I decided to go for more neutral and colors that are on the grid. I like the colors I used, besides the very last green, but I like my mandala overall.
