This is our first thing we created when introduced to Adobe Illustrator (The site we all used for these creations) was these sample circles using the circle tool and the edge gradient to make the shadow effect.

Then when we made a new Illustrator file we used the sample graphics circles and resized and recolored them to make the eyes and face. Then I used the pen tool and the blob brush to make the eyebrows and mouth.

This is the shape sampler that I created to experiment with the various tools in Illustrator such as, the feather effect, the blob brush tool, the pucker and bloat effect you see, and a few others but these are the main ones in this project. (Experimenting with this helped a lot with techniques for our monsters that you will see below)
This is the layers of the Earth vector graphic that I also created in illustrator using the circle tool and making 7 circles and making 3 of them 3/4 circles. Then I stacked them up creating the base of the earth. Lastly i made different colored oceans pieces and labeled all the attributes.
(This was a extra credit science assignment that I never got to turn in because I didn't print it out in enough time. womp womp) ):
My ELAR Monster Evolutions!
This is the original drawing of my monster I made for an assignment in ELAR about Greek and Latin roots. Its name is Lil Shmorph, but its scientific name is a... Bikerailal Trioculus Doalariumal Domanu Lipoid Quadrapod. (Now take a breather, you probably need it)
This is the first Adobe Illustrator recreation that I made of Lil Shmorph. It took us many weeks of using the blob brush tool and making shapes and adding effects such as feathering color and adding drop shadows and inner glows. Overall it was a fun thing to spend a class doing
This is the "simplified" version i made of Lil Shmorph which we had to create in order to have less attributes to animate in the video. As you can see I didn't really want to get rid of anything , so I took away the book and made some better color choices.

This is my final GIF of my ELAR monster that we made in after effects and we spent a couple of weeks doing and put a lot of effort doing and to do this I used some anchor points and moved them around with the puppet pin tool and to make the wings move and then the color wheel to make the shirt change color. Then I exported it as a GIF file in order to make it a small repeating file. (That is why it's so low quality.
