The Beginning

Blender is a 3D Modeling software used for 3D printing. It is a fun and easy way to make animations, models, and sculptures.

Here is our first ever model that we made in Sketchup. We made them all perfectly sized, with perfect cube sizes (5 ft³, 10ft³, 15ft³, and 20ft³). Then we moved each of the squares on top of eachother, making a "wedding cake."

Simple House Project

This is our "Simple House" project. The first one is kinda like a draft, without any paint. The second one is the finished product, with paint and a few other things.

This is the final SKETCHUP edition to my house. Next we will animate it in blender, but in this youtube video I just added scenes, and played it while recording it with Screencast-O-Matic.

Now we've download the Sketchup Collada file, what do we do now? Well we then imported the Collada file into Blender. Blender made it look REALLY realistic and I got to change it so the windows were glowing, like there was light inside. I have tried to use Blender before, so the controls were kinda easy.

Here are two videos of my Simple House spinning in Blender. One is 10 seconds and has a loop because it goes one direction and then the other direction, while the other is just a small 3 second one.

Here is an "implosion" I made in Blender. I keyframed every single piece, so it took a little long. In the end it looks awesome- like an explosion in reverse.

Modern Arts Sculptures

Here are two modern art sculptures I made in Sketchup. I made them light blue, as I think they can be 3D printed.

Here is a cube with a sphere inside, animated. I first made it in SketchUp, exported as a collada, and imported it to blender. I then made the cube spin, so you can see every angle. The camera also moves, so you can see the near-top.

Then, in Adobe After Effects, we made a space background. We use stars as an effect, make multiple of them, and change the color. I think my space stars look so cool with the blue and white.

Now here's the final result. In the end, I'm really proud of what I've done, and my model even got 3D PRINTED!

Here are sculptures I made with just Blender. No importing from Sketchup, just using the tools that already came with Blender. I loved these videos. 🤩
