This all I did in Elar!!!!!!
Once upon a time in a town called Everpeak which was the prettiest town ever! A girl named Amaya Tare lived in Everpeak, Amaya was about to go to school when a huge earthquake started to happen!!!!! The earthquake destroyed and interrupted the town. Amaya´s dad,Mr. Tare, was scared about Amaya when she was about to leave for school and Amaya's empathy for her dad was the same. The next day all the people came to a meeting and the mayor talked about the earthquake and how to repair the damage. Amaya´s friend Sama Japana was also there. Amya ran to her and gave Sama a hug until her mom and dad shouted, ¨How will we know if our children are safe!?¨ Everyone else agreed this went on for the whole day. Then Amaya and Sama went home with their family. Three days later another earthquake happened at 9:15. The eruption was bigger than the last earthquake!! Everyone started to panic!!!!! Then Amaya saw a wing, a big wing. Sama saw it too! Then a horn poked through the band studio that Sama loved so much. Then a monster ejected from the ground. Amaya´s dad grabbed her arm and pulled her to safety. The mayor used the megaphone to get people away from the monster. The monster looked around and smiled at the people. The citizens were surprised that the monster was friendly. The monster realized that she was very big so she sized down and she is as tall as a teen. Amaya was walking near the monster until someone said ¨What is this pathetic monster?¨. Amaya turned around and saw it was Cindy Parker. ¨And who said you can talk like that!?¨, The monster said. Amaya was shocked; it is like the monster had telepathy. Amaya was thinking just that! ¨I have a name you know!¨, said the monster. ¨It is Amelia.¨, said Amelia. Amaya´s dad/Mr.Tare saw Amaya and the monster and did not want Amaya near that thing so he came up and grabbed her until Amelia said ¨What is up with the uniform?¨ Amaya replied ¨My dad is a geologist!¨ Amelia said ¨geologist?¨ ¨Yeah! A geologist is a person that studies the earth and geologist is made of the Greek word geo!¨, Amaya explained.¨And what are some Greek words?¨, Amelia said. Amaya replied, ¨Well there is biology, telephone, stellar, theocracy, democracy and logos. ¨,Amaya said.¨ And there latin words!¨ Amaya continued ¨ LIke inaudible, duct tape, deduct, accept, tripod, erupt, mission, and mini! ¨ Wow! I am learning a lot and one more question?¨ said Amelia ¨What?¨ replied Amaya ¨Is dismiss a Latin or Greek word?¨said Amelia ¨ Yes, a latin word!¨ said Amaya After that Amelia had to go. Amaya's family said bye and Amelia was gone.
This is my monster story!! All the underline and Bold are greek or latin words.
Time for work!!!!
Do you see teens working at businesses you go to? When me and my mom go to Whole Foods or restaurants on the weekend, I see teens working there. I say “ HI!” to them, and they seem great. But should teens be able to work on the weekend? I say yes because teens can earn things that they will be using in the future.
Some teens get a lot of money or just a little. Teens can use that money for different things like helping with college and buying things either for themselves or for their family. Some teens do jobs just for themselves. Emily Payet points out "It just gets tiring after a while to ask your parents for money all the time.... It's better having your own money. That way you can do what you want with it.” Using the money for college can not only help pay for college but also to help your family pay for things they need or want.
Teens gain work experience. Teens already know how to do things when they get older and will not get confused. They will also feel more confidence when they go full time.
Morantz, Alison wrote that “Working teens may figure out which career would best match their interests and abilities.” and “Some teens even discover lifelong careers.”
Teens will be more responsible at school and better at school. "One student could work 25 hours and get straight A's," said Bud Niddle, a guidance counselor at Fairfield High School.
Teens earn important life skills. Morantz, Alison wrote that “Part-time jobs are one of the surest ways to teach kids important job skills.” As teens get older, thanks to working, they can own their own business and when teens work there you can help them and others too. Having to work also helps kids learn early how to balance school and work.
Teens should work on the weekend, they will be smarter, have money, and experience. And teens can learn what to do when moving to a new job or staying there. And you never know you might be working as a teen too.
This is my Persuasive essay!
