Hey, my name is Kimberlyn, and one of my favorite memories from 6th grade was our field trip to Corpus Christi. We went there for a beach cleanup where we helped pick up trash along the shore. The bus ride was about two hours each way, and even though it was long, it was actually really fun because I got to spend time with my friends.

Once we got there, we put on gloves, grabbed trash bags, and got to work. It felt good knowing we were doing something helpful for the environment and the ocean animals. After we finished, we got to relax, look at the water, and just enjoy being outside, and we got to go to the aquarium. That trip made me realize how important it is to take care of the places we visit, and it’s still one of my favorite school experiences.
