In a far away town in Greece, near the ocean there is a legend that says that a sea creature lives on the ocean that drags people to the ocean to transform them to one of them. The people in town say that this creature used to be three little siblings that were playing on the ocean when a strange force pulled them to the bottom of the ocean. They were screaming for help but no one on the beach responded. The three siblings were dragged to the bottom of the sea where they got converted to what now they know as the ¨ocean blue triplets¨.
The people in that town say that when you hear a symphony near the ocean you better go away from there if not the sea ocean blue triplets will make you feel like you have hypothermia and make you dizzy until you start seeing a diversity of different allusions. But when they have you completely sleep they will start the process to transform you into one of them.
One time a tourist came to that town to see if the story was real, to see if it was he decided to go swimming to the beach where the monster was supposed to live. The tourist called Teo waited around four hours but he didn't hear anything until he heard the symphony before he could even swim. The monster grabbed him from his legs and dragged him down and started sleeping. When he woke up he found himself in the bottom of the ocean with a horn and a fish tail, he had been transformed into one of them. Scared, Teo tried to swim up but the distance was too great. Teo tried everything to get out of there like getting in an air bubble to get to the top, trying to float, and even trying to see if that was just an illusion .
Just when he was giving up he remembered that he was a sea monster so with a symphony he could make the ocean blue triplets go to sleep. He waited until they came where he was to start singing. When the triplets were where he was, he started singing, the triplets were starting to be dizzy, to Teo’s surprise, they fell asleep. That was his opportunity , the opportunity to escape, he started swimming the fastest he could but he could go up, when in a moment he saw a little amphibian, a frog. The frog was jumping so high that it could reach the surface of the ocean. Teo went next to the frog and said ¨could you help me reach the surface please?¨
The frog very happily said ¨yes!¨ ¨Now I have a way to get out of there,¨ said Teo. Teo jumped on top of the frog and screamed (JUMP!!) to the frog. The frog jumped and reached the surface, he just had to swim some meters to get to the beach. He starts swimming the fastest he can. When he reached the beach he was still a monster but suddenly he started reverting to a human, but when he touched the water, the transformation reversed. That was a problem but Teo accepted, after that, he continued his life as if that never happened but he never ever went back to the beach.
Hatchet Mini-Essay
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen is a book about a 13 year old called Brian (the protagonist. He is flying from New York to Canada to visit his dad but the pilot has a heart attack so the plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness and he will need to survive in the wilderness.
In that crash Brian needs to survive a tornado, a bear, wild animals, his hunger, also he doesn't have a shelter and needs to find their way to forget the feeling about the divorce of their parents. Paulsen during the book tells us that Brian's mistakes make her smarter and know how to fix his problems and how to be stronger from every choice he makes just like in one part of the book brian said “Come on, is that the best you can do? Is that all you can hit me with a moose and a tornado?” Referring to that he is getting more confident and stronger about herself.
Just like brian i have learned how my mistakes during my life and school have made me stronger and made me learn more things that I think I could have done in my life, and how to pass all those obstacles during my life. One of them is the time I get the flu for 2 whole weeks leaving me with the choice don't go to the school for those two weeks which make me struggle for all the work i miss.Thought one time during new year I get lost on the people I know how Brian could feel at that moment and help me understand more what he was going through.
I have never been on a plane but I would like to fly in a plane one day but just imagine the plane crash that brian has. I would be scared to be on one after that, just like brian should be after the crash. On hatchet Paulsen also tells us about how the nature is affecting Brian like porcupine and a bear, moose what also make me remind me that I’m allergic to a lot of things that lives on the nature just like the bees, ants, mosquitoes, and other insects.
When I get outside I can’t spend a lot of time outside. During the story Paulsen describes us how it was surviving on the wildness which Brian at the star is hard but when the time passes he gets better but if I was on that situation I will be that person that thinks that all is over and dont think nothing and i will be scare of separating from where the plane crash, and during the time i will be thinking “Okay i will need so find a shelter food and a way to survived the time needed.
Persuasive Essay
Have you ever wondered why your school doesn't let you use free dress? Well that's why i'm gonna explain why schools should have free dress in schools. The uniforms have caused a lot of problems for parents or kids. Many schools around the globe do not let their students dress as they like and this could be hard for some kids and parents to have the correct uniforms they need to go to school. Many of these schools said that this is made to make it much easier to choose the clothes your kid is gonna wear to school or to make parents much easier find the correct clothes. This might be reasonable because it is not easy to know what you are gonna make the kid wear, but still this could provoke problems sometimes.
Many of these parents and families can afford these clothes because they are having a bad time or just can find the clothes. Normally the schools tell the parents or the guardian of the child that they have to buy each year a different color of shirt, their child clothes size grows as they grow, and many parents also buy those clothes, so when the parents go to buy the uniform they might see that they are sold out, so some parent could´t buys the uniform for their kids. In some schools they say that they have to buy the shirt or uniform at the start of the year at the school or on special occasions that the parents might not have time to assist and so not buy the correct clothes. Each year because of the inflation the prices of uniforms increase making some parents can't afford it. “The charity School-Home Support, which provides grants to families unable to buy essential items for their school-age children, has seen applications for help with the cost of uniforms and shoes rise by 90% over the past year.”
Problems on the health of the kids might be provoked by their school uniform and viruses, chemicals, or diseases that get on the clothes of the kids during the school time. MAKing them be sick and can't go to school Researchers and scientists in Canada and the United State have found that in the school uniform made of 100 percent cotton there's a substance called PFAS or “forever chemicals" that could be toxic to the human body if it is ingested. ¨Researchers across North America, reported finding levels of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also called "forever chemicals" in children's school uniforms, snow suits, mittens, bibs and hats sold in Canada and the U.S.¨ These chemicals could affect the metabolism of the thyroid and cause asthma. Affecting the attendance to school of activities that they can do like running too much if you have asthma.
Many kids don't feel comfortable in their uniform for the simple reasons that they normally wear that or they feel that the uniform doesn´t express them. This could also affect their physical activity, many students have to wear shorts, skirts, or clothes that are not too elastic to do things such as running, stretches, or basic P.E activities. Other schools can make the children uncomfortable by the material that the uniforms are made, the way they are designed, or just that they are now something that expresses themselves.
In conclusion I think that school uniforms should not be obligatory because they could cause problems for the health of the kids, the comfort of the kids and the cost that the parents can pay for them. This will make the life of parents much easier by not worrying about buying more clothes and teachers and schools watching how their students are dressed.
