In the story Hatchet, a 13 year old Brian overcomes many challenges throughout the book. I myself have had to overcome many challenges too. Like moving to a new place, having no time, and being very, very tired.
Brian is (like I said) a 13 year old boy who crash landed on a plane in the middle of nowhere. When I first moved to texas, I felt like I crash landed in the middle of nowhere too. It was tough. It took a while before I started making friends. At my elementary school the kids there weren't the “nicest” people you would ever meet, but I did make a couple of friends there. Then I came to Data. I felt a lot more confident here, the people were nice, the School work is mild, it's great. I felt like I found my way home.
Less about myself and more about Brian, this poor kid man, where do I even start!?
I can relate to Brian because he is so busy; He has to learn to survive in the wild! You would think he would be pretty occupied right? He has to learn to make spears, and learn how to fish, and hunt birds. The author states that Brian is extremely busy with a moose and a tornado!
Another problem I have been dealing with is my sleep. One thing me and brian can relate to is that we both feel SUPER tired. For me it’s been harder to sleep worrying about schoolwork and homework. In Hatchet, the author states that brian is tired from mosquitoes and working all day. In the book it said that there was a big mosquito cloud above his face. Eww.
Anyways I will conclude this essay by saying me and brian can relate to each other; maybe not in the most similar ways, but we can still relate. I hope you enjoyed my similar stories with brian. And that will conclude my essay. 😀
