We are trying to promote successful monarch butterfly migration by planting, growing, and selling milkweed through eco-friendly methods.
To help the environment and the monarch population by teaching others on just how important it is to take care of our planet.
Pollinator Garden
Our pollinator garden is approximately 10,000 square feet in size. It features 3 different varieties of native milkweed, but there are also other pollinator plants. Passion vine is plentiful in the garden and it planted itself and grows naturally.
The garden is surrounded by a fence that was installed as part of an Eagle Scout project. There are also benches around the garden that were installed as a part of a separate Eagle Scout project. The garden's perimeter also features signage created by students that educate others about a variety of topics, from the plants that grow in the garden to things like Monarch migration and our Monarch tagging program.
Greenhouse
Our greenhouse is used throughout the school year. In the first semester, we practice planting, transplanting, rooting, and other important techniques. The second semester is busy preparing the greenhouse and all of the plants for the annual spring plant sale.
