I make pottery because it allows me to give something back to the people who have supported me, and because I love the process of creating. I enjoy experimenting with new designs, trying out different glaze combinations, and pushing myself to improve my skills. My work focuses on both function and decoration. I want my pieces to be useful, but also fun and exciting to look at. I like adding unique designs that reflect my personal taste and interests, hoping they make people happy or curious about my work.
I mainly use the pottery wheel and have gotten really comfortable with it, but I also like to challenge myself with hand-building. With glazing, I love mixing colors, layering different glazes, and using underglaze decals to make my pieces stand out. There’s always something new to learn, and that’s one of the things I love most about ceramics.
As I keep learning and growing as an artist, I hope to improve my techniques, explore new ideas, and keep creating pieces that feel meaningful to me and to others.
