Cardigan

Tiptoe quietly into the room, thinking I carry and sink the truth.

Lights flicker but never through, it grows down like a root.

you don’t ask, but it wouldn’t take long 

for me to break what I pretend to hold,

I tell myself I’m just getting old.

Drawn into the ripples, you placed the vulnerable.

Moss

It just seems to be doomed like this, so I guess I blame myself.

When you leave the light on, I see from a distant star.

Waiting for the rain to stop, hope it's gone, but we can't stay where we are.
