About Me

WELCOME to our Kindergarten Class! My name is Melanie Jasek and I am THRILLED to be your child's teacher this year! I have been in education since 2010 where I strongly believe there is no better job in the world for me.  I have found that no matter what grade level I have taught, my heart truly lies in the lower grade levels, especially Kindergarten. At this age, I love to see students building their strong foundation... academically as well as socially. 

About me....I am happily married to my husband Brian, as well as a proud mother of three children, grandmother of one,  and a fur baby.  Kody, my oldest son, graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He proudly carried on the BearKat tradition and is thriving in a challenging career.  When my youngest Garrett is not busy at work, he is relaxing and doing all the things he loves to do.  My daughter Hydee, graduated in May 2023, with her second degree, and works as a Surgical Technician. She is also thriving in her job at a hospital. My daughter has also blessed me with my first grand-baby, Dane. He is his Nonnie's whole world, and he knows it!  In my free time, I love riding our Ranger on the back roads with our very spoiled fur baby Gunner Gene, sitting on my back porch watching the cows, deer, and other wildlife, as well as spending time with family anytime.  

I am delighted about having your child in my class and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of them, as well as you and your family.   I'm extremely excited about this year and look forward to another FANTASTIC year at a WONDERFUL SCHOOL DISTRICT!
