Active Schools Week!
What a fantastic Active Schools Week we had! 🏃♀️🏓🎾
Our students had great fun taking part in a wide variety of activities throughout the week including table tennis, dodgeball, rounders, tennis, tug of war and so much more. There was great energy, teamwork and enthusiasm on display all week long!
A huge thank you to our fantastic Active Schools Committee for organising such a fun-filled and successful week for everyone 👏

To finish off Active Schools Week, we headed to our local forestry for some outdoor fun 🌳
We really enjoyed building huts and shelters using natural materials we found around us. There was great teamwork and creativity on show throughout the day.
We love spending time and learning outdoors, and it was a lovely way to end a brilliant Active Schools Week 💚

We had fantastic fun in school painting our Westmeath jerseys and county crests to show our support. The classroom was full of colour, creativity, and excitement as everyone got behind the team.

We had great fun getting creative as we made our own sunflowers from clay 🌻
Once they had dried, we painted them in bright colours and added all our own special touches. Each sunflower turned out unique and full of personality!

Science in Action!
We had great fun carrying out a science investigation to explore how water travels through different materials 💧🔬
Using our observation and predicting skills, we investigated which materials absorbed water the quickest and recorded our results. Lots of great teamwork and scientific thinking throughout the activity!
Visit from Castlepollard Fire Station!
We were delighted to welcome two local firefighters from Castlepollard Fire Station 🚒
They spoke to us about the importance of fire safety and taught us what to do in an emergency. We also had great fun trying on some of the fire gear and learning more about the important work firefighters do in our community!
