Welcome to our Third Class blog!
We have had a busy September settling into 3rd Class and have had lots of fun both indoors and outdoors.
Below are some of our highlights so far!
Throwing & Catching
We have been enjoying the September sunshine during our PE lessons. We practised and improved our throwing and catching and also worked on our hitting. We then applied all these skills in playing a friendly game of Rounders!
Self Portraits
We sketched portraits of ourselves, paying attention to our eye, nose and mouth shapes. We used mirrors to closely examine our features and to draw an accurate sketch of our faces.
Rap: Mé Féin
Déanaimid an rap "Mé Féin" sa cóipleabhar Gaeilge. Chuireamar an rap don rang i láthair. Bainaimid an-taitnimh as!
We've had lot's of fun in October with the BLAST team and Sarah has helped us to develop our Drama skills 🎭

We gathered leaves of different colours and sizes to create an animal of our choice.
A few of us entered the St. Tola's Spooktacular Pumpkin competition! Have a look at the wonderful pumpkins designed 🎃
We designed and painted a haunted house. We wrote short descriptions about our house in order to try sell it to Ms. Murtagh! Our teacher had a tough time deciding what haunted house to buy 👻
We explored 'Energy and Forces' in Science and applied what we learned to make our very own catapults!
