Writing topics
This term, in addition to reading, students will explore creative writing through poetry and graphic novels. After studying and critically analysing a range of styles, they will write, edit, and present their own original pieces in each form.
Some of the progressions we are working towards are listed below.
Writing:
Ideas and Detail: Elaborate on the main ideas by carefully selecting the details to include in writing.
Punctuation: Use basic and complex punctuation with increasing accuracy.
Structure and Language: Use a clear and logical text structure and language features that meet the purpose for writing and conveys meaning effectively to the audience.
