This term we will be focusing on non-fiction.  Students will read a range of non-fiction texts to support their non-fiction writing focus.   The progressions we are working towards are listed below.

Reading: 

Ideas:  Find and synthesise information in a text to make justified inferences. 

Skim and scan and take brief notes from a text.

Purposes and audience:  Evaluate a text using the criteria of accuracy of information, presence of bias, reliability and quality.
