This term, we will be focusing on vocabulary, punctuation and editing. 

Below are the progressions we will be focusing on in Year 7 and 8.

This term we will be embarking on a journey to master the art of crafting a compelling diary entry. Students will be exposed to a variety of historical diary entries in order to understand the context of a diary entry. 

The next highlight of our writing journey this term, will be delving into the intricacies of creating a captivating theatrical piece. Students will be learning the features and characteristics of good play writing and putting those skills into practice to create their own theatre ensembles. 

We will end the term off with the writing of speeches, to which students will acquire the essential skills for crafting impressive speeches.
