Thanks for visiting my website! I am so excited to be teaching P.E. again this year! This is my 6th year teaching P.E., my 19th year as a substitute teacher, and my 29th year as a St. Teresa School volunteer-19 of those volunteer years have been spent coaching the St. Teresa Twirl Girls! I am a member of the Perpetual Help Society and cantor at Mass. I also cosponsor the Jr. St. Vincent DePaul with Mrs. Neville and assist Mrs. Myers with the student choir and speech team.
My path to education and teaching could be considered quite unconventional. I earned an AAS in Business Management from BAC (now SWIC) while working full time at the Belleville News Democrat/going to school full time. This led to my working for an accounting firm for about 15 years. While there, I earned a BS in Business Management with an emphasis in MIS, from Tarkio College's extension degree program-one of the first of its kind in this area. I was then fortunate enough to become a domestic goddess, (or some call it a stay-at-home mom :) while my kids attended St. Teresa. I received my substitute teaching certificate from the ROE in 2007 and have enjoyed every moment of subbing, both long and short term, and (now) teaching P. E. at St. Teresa School.
My husband, John, and I will be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary this fall. We have been members of St. Teresa Parish for 36 years, and our children graduated from St. Teresa School. Our beautiful family includes our daughter Mel, her husband Nick, their dog Lily and our son Josh, his wife Mikayla, and their children Maria, Scottie and Jesse.
In my spare time, I like to volunteer, workout, read, sew, (especially clothes for my grandchildren) paint, decorate, and design floral arrangements/wreaths.
I am so happy to be sharing gym time with your children again this year!
