OUR LEARNING
In third grade, learning expands beyond foundational skills to more complex topics, encouraging independent thought and critical analysis. Students advance from "learning to read" to "reading to learn," tackling chapter books and more complex texts.
In math, students master multiplication and division, and are introduced to fractions, decimals, and geometry.
In science, topics shift toward hands-on experiments covering areas like ecosystems, the water cycle, and more, while Social studies will be focused on community, geography, and history through map skills, local history, and the comparison of different cultures.
Our texts also integrate more sophisticated writing, research, grammar skills, and cursive handwriting.
