WElcome to Pre-K 1

Pre-K 1 Newsletter

Hello Pre-K 1 Families,

Welcome to November! November is Good Nutrition Month and Child Safety and Protection Month. Daylight Savings time is Sunday, November 1st. In school we have been very busy exploring new fall materials, learning new songs and finger plays and increasing our social skills. We are a large group and it has been great to watch each child grow in becoming part of our classroom community.

Our new unit of focus for this month is entitled “All About Us.” This unit will specifically focus on the children learning more about themselves and the people around them. This week we discussed different feelings we have and what makes us have these feelings. We discussed what do to what when we have some feelings like when we are lonely, sad or feeling angry; and the best ways to work through them. We also did our All About Me bags and learned some much about each other.

Next week, we will be learning about each other’s families and about each other’s family traditions and culture.
