STCS is a Kindergarten through 8th grade Diocesan Catholic School, established in 1994.
We have two classes of each grade, and currently have 430 students from 270 families.
Class Size: Our average class size in 2019-2020 was 24 students, and the student/faculty ratio was 12:1.
Class Limits: Kindergarten is capped at 25 students per classroom, 1st grade is capped at 28, and 2nd-8th grades are capped at 30. (non-pandemic number limits)
Students in 1st - 8th grade go to Mass each week. Kindergarten attends twice per month.
Students in Elementary School (K-5) use iPads in the classroom.
Each student in Middle School is issued a Chromebook. It becomes their own upon graduation.
Middle School students go to the following classes every day: religion, math, language arts, reading, science, social studies. Spanish is four days per week.
Spanish is taught from kindergarten through 8th grade.
Kindergarten is a full-day program with a teacher and full-time aide. The classrooms are designed with younger students in mind, and both include a bathroom.
Grades 1-3 have a part-time aide in each room.
We have Interactive Boards in every classroom for teacher and student use.
Students wear uniforms each day. Kindergarten has its own uniform, grades 1-5 wear the elementary school uniform, and grades 6-8 wear the middle school uniform. There is a separate P.E. uniform, which students wear for the entirety of their P.E. day.
Of our 2019-2020 graduates, 62% attend Paul VI Catholic High School in Loudoun County. Our graduates also attend public high schools including Academy of Sciences.
All of our teachers are certified to teach in Virginia.
In non-pandemic years, hot lunch is offered with a pre-ordering/pre-pay system.
Our Extended Day Care Program begins at dismissal and is open until 6:00 PM
