Djukic and Tom Depover, together with May Martin and Hisao Matsunaga, organizing the ongoing special issue (SI) of Engineering Failure Analysis (EFA) journal entitled “Understanding Environmentally Hydrogen Assisted Cracking of Metals: Key Towards a Sustainable Future”.The manuscript submission deadline is extended until 15 February 2024. This SI will include a selection of papers presented at the TC21 Thematic/Special Symposium with a round table and panel discussions: ”Hydrogen embrittlement of metals: Problems and solutions” within the framework of the 5th International Conference on Structural Integrity, 29 August - 1 September 2023, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.

ESIS TC21 chair Emilio Martínez Pañeda is organizing the upcoming Oxford-EPRI Workshop in Hydrogen Embrittlement, June 23-26, 2024, Oxford, UK. The workshop will host 40 invited speakers, who will give extended talks in a single room (i.e., no parallel sessions), and discussion will be stimulated. ESIS TC21 chair Milos B Djukic is one of the invited speakers. While oral talks are by invitation only, there will be a poster session open to anyone interested in contributing. More details will be available very soon through a dedicated website.
